Reimagining Volunteer Recruitment

Today's volunteers are looking for meaningful, flexible ways to give back. In this virtual training, you'll explore fresh recruitment strategies, discover ways to reach new audiences, and gain practical ideas to help your organization attract, engage, and retain volunteers. A certificate of completion and presenter resources will be available for attendees.

This event is FREE for We Mentor Cincy Collaborative members but registration is required.


Session Leaders

Stephanie Togneri is the Senior Director of Volunteer Engagement for the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati, where she provides strategic leadership for volunteer engagement, community partnerships, and volunteer initiatives that advance the YMCA's mission across the association.

Throughout her career, Stephanie has led volunteer programs and community initiatives for several nonprofit organizations, including the Educational Theatre Association, Freestore Foodbank, and Cincinnati Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Whether connecting volunteers to youth development, food security, arts education, or community services, she is passionate about helping people use their talents to make a meaningful difference.

 Prior to her nonprofit leadership roles, Stephanie served as a Christian Education Director for local churches, helping individuals discover and live out lives of service and leadership. She has been a member of CAVA since 2010 and served on the Board and as President. Stephanie enjoys connecting with fellow volunteer engagement professionals, sharing leading practices, and strengthening the volunteer profession throughout the region.

Tony Aloise, Founder, The Life Solutions Network & We Mentor Cincy

A proud father of four adult children and four grandchildren, he calls Kentucky home, where his entire family lives. He spent 35 years with Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati, building a rewarding career in supply chain management across manufacturing, engineering, logistics, and purchasing. In the final decade of his career, he led a global horizontal network focused on material supply management, earning recognition for his expertise and contributions.

Since retiring in 2011, he has dedicated himself to serving others through full-time volunteer work. Guided by his faith and a calling to "live to my potential," he has focused his retirement on mentoring and teaching life skills to people in need. Drawing on the lessons he learned as both a P&G leader and a parent, he strives to be a force for good in his community. While he has learned much through this work, he believes there is always more to learn.
